A fire performer spits billowing flames out of his mouth. Twisted faces of gargoyles or maddened creatures form in the smoke and fire.
Divinatory meaning: Anger, rage, fury. Hubris. A dangerous game. The temptation to dominate or have power over others.

Five of Water
A woman sits on a misty shore, wrapped up against the cold. She holds a scrying bowl in her hands but no images have arisen in it. Her longing gaze is di- rected inwardly as the fog of depression descends over the scene. In the distance, a boat is moored to the shore.
Divinatory meaning: Emotional turmoil, grief, despondency, discouragement. Will you stay mired in despair or will you shift your attention and find a way through the gloom?

Five of Earth
A hiker finds himself lost in the deep woods when a storm blows in. He builds a debris hut and hunkers down inside it to wait out the night. Even though he’s cold and uncomfortable, he knows he has the skills he needs to survive and make it safely out of the wilderness once the storm has passed.
